The funds for Libraries is now very limited. Libraries rely on the government only in this day. With the current state of the economy they should do fund raising/donation in their own public. People need to come to they more too; but for this to happen libraries need to arrange more activities so they could invited. Yes, a way to make them attractive and then attend. Examples of this, is an after school program were teen, children, and adults can attend a special event library. A program for reading books to kids, art exhibition, courses(different things, this can go as deep as like cooking and Spanish lessons), SAT and ACT practices, driving practical exams and lessons, and also have electronic devices that people can use for instance - once a week. When these things happen more will be in libraries and this resulting more using payable libraries services such as printing, and even lets they don't have a USB - the library will have them for sale. And also snack machine will be available and other equipment could be made "use after pay" type of thing. More people coming in the libraries will help through the country. One more thing: book sale can help libraries as well.

Who support libraries financially? The state and the federal government and communities help the libraries annually, but cuts from that has resulted an incomplete service to communities. I mean library funds over the past few years it has reduced in some state- "more than" 95%. Imagine libraries that were getting $2.2 billion a year but now receiving only $100, 000. Yes, this has resulted employees cuts, services reduction, and closure. In some state they are merging libraries into one trying to see if they can save through that way. In Florida, the commissioner has already sold library management to company in which they agree in a contract. There is more to this! Click the links already above if you want to ready for yourself.
